Chelsea are targeting a January move for Lyon star Nabil Fekir as they look to improve their midfield options.
According to The Daily Mail, via the BBC, Chelsea are set to make an offer for the Frenchman next month.
The report claims that Maurizio Sarri is a fan of Fekir and wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge for the second-half of the season and beyond.
Chelsea have been accused of lacking creativity in midfield this season and Sarri wants Fekir to change that.
The attacking midfielder was on the verge of a move to Liverpool in the summer, but the deal broke down at the last minute. He completed a medical and did his interview for Liverpool’s website, before the club pulled out of a deal due to medical concerns.
Chelsea are now prepared to act on their interest in him, with seven goals for Lyon so far this season.
