Higuain asks for Chelsea move with Juventus ready to do a deal

Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly requested a January move to join Chelsea, according to reports in Italy.

Sportmediaset claims that the striker himself is keen to join Maurizio Sarri in London, with Juventus also giving the move the green light.

After failing to impress during the first half of the season, Higuain is already being linked with moves away from Milan in the new year.

With the striker only on loan from Juventus, any deal to take the striker away from the San Siro will have to be approved by the Old Lady, who will be aiming to cash in on the striker.

Milan have the option to buy the striker but are now unlikely to complete the deal, meaning Juventus may need to look elsewhere to find a potential buyer.

The report claims the Rossoneri are happy to let the player leave and cut his loan deal short, meaning the ball is firmly in Chelsea’s court ahead of the January window.
