Fabregas set to terminate his Chelsea contract

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is poised to terminate his contract at the club this week.

According to Marca, via Calcio Mercato, Fabregas is working hard to make himself a free agent heading into the January transfer window.

Fabregas’ current Chelsea deal expires at the end of the season, but he is set to terminate the contract six months early and join a new club next month.

The report claims that AC Milan and AS Monaco are the two favourites to land him, with Milan having been heavily linked to Fabregas in recent months.

Maurizio Sarri has not been able to offer Fabregas enough game time this season due to the likes of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek being ahead of him.

An official announcement could be coming in the next few days, which will leave Fabregas free to speak to other clubs as he looks to revive his career.
