Chelsea to battle AC Milan in race to sign Hirving Lozano

Chelsea are thought to be interested in bringing Mexico star Hirving Lozano to Stamford Bridge, but will have to rival Italian giants AC Milan, according to Calciomercato.com.

The 23-year-old, who currently plies his trade for PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, has impressed in Europe since joining from Mexican side Pachuca in a deal worth €8 million last summer.

Lozano has found the back of the net 28 times in 46 appearances in the Eredivisie, with the forward also scoring the winner for Mexico against Germany at the World Cup over the summer.

The Mexican international’s consistent performances have alerted numerous clubs around Europe, with AC Milan and Chelsea showing a firm interest in the player.

It is believed that AC Milan will have to sell in order to bring Lozano to the San Siro, however, if Chelsea’s move for Christian Pulisic falls through, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri may well attempt to bring the dynamic forward to the Premier League in the new year.
