Chelsea and Tottenham are both being linked with big-money moves to sign Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
According to reports in Italy, the London duo are keen to sign the player but have been told that they will need to pay his €40 million release clause in full.
Kessie is also believed to be a target for a host of Chinese Super League clubs.
Chelsea have been aware of Kessie’s talents for some time and were in for the midfielder when it became clear he would be leaving Atalanta earlier in his career, however, the player would go on to join Milan.
Reports suggested that Antonio Conte was very keen on the idea of bringing the player to the Premier League during his time in charge of the Blues.
Since joining the San Siro outfit, Kessie has endured a mixed time in Italy, with the player yet to truly realise his full potential.
Kessie himself is believed to be open to a move away from the club and at the age of 22, his best years are certainly ahead of him.
