Chelsea are hopeful that they can convince young talent Callum Hudson-Odoi to sign a new contract, despite a third bid from Bayern Munich exceeding £30million arriving on Thursday, according to MailOnline.
Despite having already signed Christian Pulisic for £58million this window, the Blues are keen to keep hold off the highly rated 18-year old, who has attracted considerable attention from Bavaria.
Hudson-Odoi wants more first-team football, and with Bayern’s first choice target in Pulisic now unavailable, the Bundesliga powerhouse are hoping to convince Hudson-Odoi to follow in the footsteps of fellow young English wingers who have succeeded in Germany.
Everton’s Ademola Lookman enjoyed a fruitful six months with RB Leipzig last season, while Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson has scored goals for Hoffenheim this campaign. Former Manchester City starlet Jadon Sancho has also hit headlines in Germany, forcing his way into the England national set-up.
With just 18-months left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, Hudson-Odoi has so far refused to put pen to paper on a new contract.
