Chelsea are expected to make a move to sign Callum Wilson from Bournemouth this month.
The Mirror reports that the Blues will step up their interest in the player after capturing the services of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.
A deal to sign the American winger was confirmed prior to the meeting with Southampton, with the player due to arrive in the summer.
Chelsea are expected to continue spending this month in a bid to add goals to their side.

Neither Alvaro Morata or Olivier Giroud have done enough to impress Maurizio Sarri since he took over from Antonio Conte.
Wilson has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season under Eddie Howe and there are now suggestions he could be sold for big profit after recently breaking into the England squad.
Sarri has been forced to use Eden Hazard out of position as a central striker to give his side more of a threat in the final third.
