Chelsea set to make £36million bid for Hirving Lozano

Chelsea are set to make a £36million bid for PSV forward Hirving Lozano, according to reports.

Lozano, who can play anywhere across the front three, is being chased by the likes of AC Milan and Napoli but the press in Italy believe that Chelsea are going to swoop in to try to get a deal done early in the January window.

Everton were linked with a move for the forward in the summer, but they’ve yet to make an official offer for him.

Maurizio Sarri is keen to bring in another attacking player and with Christian Pulisic not joining the club until the summer, signing Lozano would add more immediate depth and quality to his squad.

The 23-year-old has scored 15 goals in 25 games for PSV in all competitions already this season and he’s made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League.

As reported by TalkSport, after PSV played Tottenham in the Champions League group stages earlier this season, the Mexican international said:

I think the Premier League is great. I think that it would be fabulous to play with any of the clubs, but I would love to play for one of the big clubs. I hope that God gives me the chance.

Chelsea could pave the way for Lozano’s arrival by letting Alvaro Morata leave, but they’ll only allow the Spaniard to move when they have a replacement signed,.
