Baba Rahman is set to return to Chelsea in the January transfer window, with Schalke set to cancel the defender’s loan, according to a report from Calcio Mercato.
The defender has only made two appearances for Schalke in the league, and is likely to return to the Blues this month.
Schalke had signed the defender until the end of the season last January, however, after a lack of playing time, they look like they are set to cut it short.
Rahman has struggled at Chelsea since signing from Augsburg in 2015.
The defender has only made 15 league appearances for the Blues, and is again not seemingly in Maurizio Sarri’s plans.
