Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has questioned why Callum Hudson-Odoi would sign for Bayern Munich.
The youngster has been heavily touted with a move to Germany, with Bayern reportedly bidding as high as £35m for the forward – who recently impressed against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
Bayern are thought to be very keen on a deal for Hudson-Odoi, who has struggled for game time in the Premier League so far this season.
Despite his lack of game time, Alonso has urged him to stay patient and remain at Chelsea.
Speaking to BT Sport, Alonso said:
He is a good player, but he is very young. He needs to have patience and to be hungry and fight for a place in this team.
That is all he needs to do, he has all the conditions to be a great player, now it is up to him to fight for a place here or try to find more minutes somewhere else.
Bayern Munich? We are Chelsea, another great team, the Premier League is the most competitive league in the world, I don’t know why someone would go to Bayern Munich.
