Barcelona offer Malcom to Chelsea in Willian bid

Barcelona are willing to part company with Malcom in their efforts to sign Willian from Chelsea, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The La Liga leaders were determined to secure a deal for the experienced Blues star in the summer but failed with a number attempts to convince the Premier League club into a sale.

This led them to recruit Malcom from Bordeaux in a move believed to be worth £38 million.

The young Brazilian has flattered to deceive at Camp Nou, however, and it is reported that Barcelona have set their sights on a deal for Willian once again in the January transfer window.

According to the Mail, the player-plus-cash offer would be worth £50 million as Ernesto Valverde continues to pursue more attacking talent for his squad.

Willian’s contract at Stamford Bridge reaches its expiration date at the end of next season and with Maurizio Sarri reportedly looking to lower the average age of his squad, the 30-year-old’s future at the club is uncertain.
