Barella has reservations about Chelsea move

Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella is believed to have some reservations about a move to Chelsea this month.

According to reports in Italy, the player is not yet convinced that a move to London at this stage in his career would be the right thing for him.

However, fortunately for Chelsea, the Italian club’s president does not share the same concerns and would be happy to sell in January, providing their asking price is met.

A host of clubs have been keeping a watchful eye on Barella in recent months and Chelsea are prepared to give the Italian side an opportunity to cash in on the midfielder.

Barella is being heavily linked with a move to London to replace the departing Cesc Fabregas, who is closing in on a move to Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.

Maurizio Sarri is a known admirer of the player, with talks believed to be ongoing over a £45 million deal.
