Maurizio Sarri has hinted that he would like Callum Hudson-Odoi to remain a Chelsea player.
The 18-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich this month.
There are many who feel Hudson-Odoi is a special talent, with letting him move on a mistake by Chelsea.
The player himself seems keen on a move, though. which is an obvious issue, especially with new signing Christian Pulisic not arriving until the summer.
Sarri’s comments to reporters suggest he wants him to stay, with the Chelsea boss claiming he is only improving, as he also looks for January reinforcements:
As I said before, the club knows my opinion, and in my opinion we need two players.
If you ask me something else then I don’t know what to answer because I am not in charge of the market.
The bench is not very short. It has been left short in only one position at the moment because I think that Hudson-Odoi is improving.
In one or two months he will be at the same level as the other players. I hope the same for Ampadu.
It still looks as though Hudson-Odoi will exit to Bayern, but it doesn’t look set to be a decision that goes down well with Sarri.
The youngster has been featuring more of late, but it may not change his stance.
