Gonzalo Higuain’s agent, his brother Nicolas, will fly to London imminently to finalise a move to Chelsea.
That’s according to Sky Sport journalist Angelo Mangiante, who took to Twitter to report the news on Thursday evening.
Higuain’s representative is waiting for the green light to head from Madrid to the English capital, as the Juventus striker edges closer to a switch to Stamford Bridge.
Mangiante also confirmed that the 31-year-old’s transfer will not be completed in time to face Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend.
There had been hope that Higuain could make his debut at the Emirates, but that is now out of the question.

It is exciting news for Blues supporters, with the striker’s pedigree undoubted, even though age is catching up with him a little.
The Argentine thrived under Maurizio Sarri in 2015/16, scoring 38 goals in 42 appearances for Napoli.
Chelsea visit Arsenal for a vital clash on Saturday evening, knowing they can go nine points clear of the Gunners with a win.
It would arguably put Unai Emery’s side out of the race for Champions League football and strengthen the Blues’ hopes of returning to the competition next season.
