Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain is set for a medical with Chelsea this weekend ahead of his loan switch.
According to The Mirror, Higuain will complete his medical at Chelsea within the next 48 hours before an official announcement is made on his arrival.
The forward will not sign in time to face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday, but could now make his debut against Tottenham in the League Cup semi-final second leg next week.
Higuain spent the first half of this season on loan to AC Milan in the Serie A, scoring six league goals for the club before returning to Juventus in order to sign for Chelsea.
Maurizio Sarri is keen to work with Higuain again, after the striker scored 36 goals under his management at Napoli.
The report also claims that Sarri is hopeful Chelsea can make further signings before the end of the transfer window.
