Inter Milan are closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea transfer target Nicolo Barella this month.
According to Calcio Mercato, Inter are on the verge of agreeing a deal which will see them pay an initial €40m, with a further €10m in bonuses.
The report claims that Napoli and Chelsea were both looking to sign Barella this month, who has been impressive for Cagliari in the Serie A this season.

He has been capped four times by Italy at international level and been a regular in Cagliari’s midfield.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising midfielders in Italy and Chelsea were keen to agree a deal this month to bring him to the Premier League.
Calcio Mercato claim that the transfer will be completed this month, but Barella will join Inter Milan at the end of the season, rather than immediately moving to the San Siro.
