Chelsea make Coutinho enquiry
Chelsea have asked Barcelona about the availability of midfielder Philippe Coutinho this month.
According to The Sunday Express, via The BBC, Manchester United and Chelsea have both enquired about Coutinho as they eye a deal for the winger.
The report claims that Barcelona have told them that they will have to pay £100m to land him this month, with Chelsea said to still be keen.
Barcelona are looking to sell Coutinho in order to fund a move for PSG star Neymar – who joined PSG from Barcelona – as they look to take advantage of the French club’s FFP problems.
Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool this time last year for a fee in the region of £142m, but has struggled to nail down a place in the team this season.
The Brazil international has started ten La Liga games so far this season and the report claims that he is open to a move away from the club in the summer.
