“I wish Higuain the best” – Donnarumma
AC Milan star Gianluigi Donnarumma has said he wishes Gonzalo Higuan “the best” as the striker nears a move to Chelsea.
The goalkeeper spoke after Milan’s 2-0 away victory against Genoa, quoted by Calciomercato.com as saying:
I wish him the best, He is a close friend of mine and I really respect him. It’s his choice, it’s a personal choice.
Higuain is reportedly on the verge of completing a loan move to Chelsea, as the Blues look to fill the void in their front-line and bolster their attack.
With Alvaro Morata having completed his move to Atletico Madrid on loan, Chelsea are left with just Olivier Giroud as their only established striker, but the Argentine’s arrival is imminent.
The 31-year-old attacker joined AC Milan from Juventus on a temporary basis in the summer, but his spell with Rossoneri is set to be cut short.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side are looking at securing a replacement for Higuain before letting the striker complete his move, with that seeming to be keeping to deal on hold.
