Matt Miazga set to cancel loan spell at FC Nantes
Matt Miazga has flown back to England to finalise the termination of his loan move to FC Nantes, as per a report from Ouest France, as per Get French Football.
The American international joined the Ligue 1 side in a bid to get regular first-team football but he played just seven times and has not featured since early October.
The 23-year-old joined Chelsea from the New York Red Bulls back in January 2016 for a fee of around £3.5 million but he’s only made two first-team appearances for the Blues since, those coming in Premier League games against Aston Villa and Swansea City.
Since then, the New Jersey native has been loaned out to two clubs. Firstly, he spent two seasons with Vitesse Arnhem, where he played over 40 games, before joining Nantes on a temporary basis for this campaign.
However, things in France did not work out for Miazga, and he looks likely to rejoin Chelsea before looking for another loan move.
