Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has completed a loan move to Atletico Madrid, according to Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella.
It is claimed that the Spanish striker joins Diego Simeone’s men on loan for the remainder of the season, clearing the way for Gonzalo Higuain to join Chelsea.
Atletico have the option to buy Morata at the end of the season for a fee believed to be worth £48.5 million.

Having signed for Chelsea from Real Madrid in a deal worth £58m plus add-ons, Chelsea have cut their losses in order to move the player on.
Morata has struggled for form this season, but that has not stopped Simeone’s men from taking the Spaniard on loan, with the La Liga side looking for a replacement for the injured Diego Costa.
The striker has cut a frustrated figure at Stamford Bridge this season and he’ll be hoping to recapture his best form in Spain.
