Chelsea hopes of signing Gonzalo Higuain hinge on Milan completing a deal for Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues are waiting for the green light to finalise Higuain’s move to Stamford Bridge, with a deal agreed between all parties.
Chelsea reached an agreement to sign the player on loan until the end of the season, with the option of a further 12 months.

Gennaro Gattuso’s men have earmarked Piatek, who was linked with Chelsea earlier this season, as Higuain’s replacement.
Piatek has been one of the stories of the Serie A season, breaking goalscoring records after a fantastic start to the campaign.
Chelsea will be eager to get a deal for Higuain completed, with Tottenham travelling to Stamford Bridge later this week for the second leg of their Carabao clash.
The Blues need to get the striker registered before midday on Wednesday in order for him to feature against their London rivals.
