Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has passed his medical ahead of a loan move to La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
According to Sky Sports, Morata has completed his medical checks in Spain and is now on the verge of finalising a move back to his home country.
Morata started his career with Atletico’s fierce rivals Real Madrid, before moving onto Juventus and Chelsea.
The forward joined Chelsea for a, at the time, club-record fee in the summer of 2017, but has failed to live up to expectations and is now looking to revive his career in Spain.
Chelsea completed the signing of Gonzalo Higuain on loan from Juventus earlier this week, further pushing Morata out the door at Stamford Bridge.
The report claims that Atletico have an option in the deal to sign Morata on a permanent basis in the summer for a fee in the region of £48.5m.
