Chelsea reject three offers for Andreas Christensen

Chelsea have reportedly rejected moves from Bundesliga sides Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund as well as Juventus for their defender Andreas Christensen, according to the Evening Standard.

All three clubs are believed to have contacted the Blues in the past week over Christensen’s availability, whether he be available on a permanent or a loan deal.

The 22-year-old has struggled for game time with the Blues this season but is highly regarded as one of the best centre-backs around.

The Denmark international has made just one Premier League start this term, with Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri preferring to play David Luiz at the heart of the Chelsea defence instead.

Barcelona also had an approach or Christensen rejected last month and Chelsea have made it clear to Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus that they are not prepared to let the defender leave before the window shuts tomorrow.

However, despite the youngster having three years left on his contract with the London side, his future at the club appears to be up in the air and it is expected that Bayern, Dortmund and Juve amongst others will all return in the summer transfer window to enquire about his availability once more.

It is also believed that Luiz is close to signing a one-year contract extension with the Stamford Bridge outfit too, meaning Christensen’s pathway to the senior side will continue to be blocked.
