Betis pull out of Batshuayi deal

Real Betis have reportedly pulled out of a deal to sign Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi on loan before the transfer deadline closes.

It was reported earlier today that both West Ham and the Spanish outfit had agreed terms with the Blues over a prospective deal, and it would have been up to the Belgium international to choose his destination.

Chelsea were believed to have preferred to sell Batshuayi to Everton, however the Toffees haven’t made a move for the former Marseille man and are unlikely to do so before the deadline closes.

Now according to ABC Sevilla, as cited by Sport Witness, the Hammers remain the sole club in for Batshuayi’s signature after Betis decided to withdraw their interest.

Whether the club decided it wasn’t in their best interests or that they grew tired of waiting for an answer is unclear, but it is understood that after negotiating all day, the La Liga side have declared the option to have ‘finally been ruled out.’
