Chelsea are one of three Premier League sides watching the development of RB Leipzig central defender Ibrahima Konate.
As per a report from Sport Bild, as cited on football.london, the Blues are joining London rivals Arsenal and West Ham in scouting the defender in action.
According to the report all three teams have expressed an interest in the defender as he continues to catch the eye in Germany.
Konate is just the latest Leipzig defender to be linked with a move away from the German side and Chelsea could well be in the market for a young defender in the years to come.
Gary Cahill is approaching his final months at the club, while David Luiz is not getting any younger.

A new contract for the latter is believed to be close, but the defender will turn 32 later this year and any deal is likely to be a short-term one.
