Chelsea have entered the race to sign Roma youngster Nicolo Zaniolo, according to reports in Italy.
Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited on Sport Witness, claim that the Blues are the latest team to express an interest on the player.
After enjoying a breakthrough season in Rome, a host of top European clubs have been linked with moves to sign Zaniolo.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move to sign the player during the January window after being so impressed with his performances while the club were in Italy, scouting his team-mate Cengiz Under.
The report also adds that Real Madrid, Bayern and Juventus are also keeping a close eye on his development in Serie A.
Zaniolo has only started a dozen league games this season, but he is quickly emerging as one of Roma’s hottest prospects and the Giallorossi will undoubtedly face a fight to keep him beyond the summer.
