Fabregas confident that Hazard will stay at Chelsea
Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is confident that Eden Hazard will not leave the London club.
As reported on the Metro, Hazard is being heavily linked with a move away from the club after publicly stating his desire to play for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Belgian has admitted in an interview that he knows what he is going to do at the end of the season.
Fabregas thinks that the forward will end up signing a new contract with Chelsea. He said:
He needs to make a decision before next summer because he hasn’t renewed his contract. He is already 28 years old and this would be the perfect moment to leave, it would be a very personal decision though.
If he already said that he has made his choice, I think that he will renew his contract with Chelsea. I just found out about that, actually.
I can tell you that Hazard would never get into a disagreement with Chelsea because he wants to leave. It is the club of his life and he has won everything in England playing for them.
But I believe that if he already made the decision, it was a while ago because those choices are usually not made during the middle of the season.
Fabregas left Chelsea last month to join French Ligue 1 side Monaco after struggling to get enough first-team action under Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.
Chelsea fans will be praying that Fabregas is right and Hazard does stay because he is one of the world’s best players.
