Tiemoue Bakayoko is hoping to make his loan deal with Serie A side AC Milan permanent at the end of the season, Calcio Mercato have reported.
The midfielder has established himself as a key figure in Milan’s midfield after enduring a difficult start to the season in Italy and is looking to secure a permanent move at the end of the campaign.
The Blues will now reportedly hold talks with Milan in April to discuss a cut-price deal.
Chelsea have reportedly included a clause in the loan deal allowing the Rossoneri to buy the Frenchman for €35 million at the end of the season, though the report suggests Milan will ask the Blues to reduce that fee by €5 million.
Bakayoko struggled to settle at Chelsea following his £40 million move from Monaco in 2017 and was subject to intense criticism during his debut season at Stamford Bridge.
And despite impressing for Milan this season, Chelsea are willing to allow the midfielder to move on as it has been reported that he would not fit current boss Maurizio Sarri’s style of play.
The Blues, however, are keen on signing Franck Kessie from the Rossoneri and Calcio Mercato have also reported that they are looking to include the midfielder in a deal that would see Bakayoko move to Milan permanently.
