Chelsea will sell Brazilian winger Kenedy in the summer unless his form improves during his loan spell at Newcastle, according to Simon Bird of The Mirror.
The 23-year-old had a very impressive spell with the Magpies during the second half of the 2017/18 season, but he’s failed to replicate that form during the current campaign after agreeing to spend the entire season on loan at St James’ Park.
Although he’s featured in 20 league games for Rafa Benitez this season, Kenedy has mainly found himself on the bench in recent weeks and has done little to force his manager’s hand in terms of selecting him to start more often.
Chelsea know that the futures of some of their current wingers, such as Eden Hazard, Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi, are uncertain and as such, they’d be hoping to see Kenedy develop further so he can step into their shoes if one leaves the club.
However, it seems like the Blues are not holding their breath and they could sell the Brazilian in the summer if he fails to kick on at Newcastle.
