Chelsea players hold clear-the-air meeting
Chelsea’s players held clear-the-air talks following Sunday’s 6-0 defeat to Manchester City.
The Blues were wretched at the Etihad, suffering one of their most humiliating losses in Premier League history.
It is claimed that the squad convened for a meeting at their Cobham training ground on Monday, as a way of getting to the bottom of their current issues.
The players are believed to have delivered some home truths to one another, in a constructive manner.
It is unknown whether or not under-fire manager Maurizio Sarri was at the meeting, although he did take training.
The 60-year-old looks set to keep his job for the time being, but a key fortnight awaits, according to the Telegraph.
Chelsea are back in action on Thursday when they take on Malmo at Stamford Bridge, in the Europa League last-32.
They then host Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round on Monday night, in a repeat of last season’s final.
