Chelsea players plotting moves away if Sarri stays
Chelsea players are ready to take matters into their own hands if Maurizio Sarri remains in charge at Stamford Bridge.
According to Spanish outlet AS, a number of the club’s high-profile players have already started to speak with their respective agents and representatives to engineer moves away, if the Italian stays in charge.
The report suggests that Sarri has now well and truly lost the Chelsea dressing room after their 6-0 mauling against Manchester City.
Player power has always been rife at Stamford Bridge and it has not been uncommon for players to ‘down tools’ under previous managers that they’re not so keen on.
The same thing happened during both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte’s time at the club.
Chelsea are yet to make a decision on Sarri, but should the club stand by and support him through the summer and beyond, they could see a number of key first-team players move on during the next transfer window.
