Jamie Carragher continues criticism of Chelsea

Jamie Carragher has been hugely unimpressed by Chelsea of late, claiming they made Bournemouth “look like Brazil”.

The Blues have been under scrutiny since Sunday, having suffered their worst-ever Premier League defeat at the hands of Manchester City.

Maurizio Sarri’s side lost 6-0 at the Etihad, with the Italian now fighting hard to keep his job.

It wasn’t a result that came out of the blue, however, with Chelsea’s away form poor of late.

Carragher remains shocked at how bad the west Londoners have been on their travels, revealing his thoughts on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football:

Their last few away performances have been woeful. Their lack of intensity is unbelievable.

There’s talk of Sarri wanting to press high and win the ball back. He hasn’t got the players to do it.

They’ve got so many players over 30. Chelsea’s players need to be aggressive.

They made Bournemouth look like Brazil.

Chelsea are now at a critical point in their season, with so much riding on the next few months.

They have dropped to sixth in the Premier League, with missing out on Champions League football for another season a disastrous thought.

They are in Europa League and FA Cup action in the next week, against Malmo and Manchester United, before taking on City in the EFL Cup final a week on Sunday.
