Sarri given two weeks to save his Chelsea job
Maurizio Sarri has reportedly been given two weeks to save his Chelsea job.
According to a report from the Telegraph, the club wants Sarri to prioritise the Europa League and win the competition to secure to Champions League qualification.
Questions were raised about Sarri’s position after an embarrassing 6-0 away defeat to Manchester City over the weekend.
However, the Italian looks set to stay in charge for the time being, with a crucial run of fixtures coming up.
Sarri remains in charge and took training as normal on Monday morning, despite concerns over his job.
Chelsea are in action again later this week when they face Swedish side Malmo in the first leg of their Europa League tie.
February could be a defining month for Sarri and Chelsea this season, with the Carabao Cup final to come, while the Blues also face Manchester United in the FA Cup and Tottenham in the Premier League.
