Chelsea have reportedly made a €45m bid for Luka Jovic
Chelsea have already tabled an offer worth €45 million to sign Luka Jovic this summer, according to a report from German news outlet Bild.
The forward is enjoying his football on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga but has seen his future come under scrutiny recently, with a host of top clubs watching his progress closely.
Maurizio Sarri’s team are believed to be among the potential suitors for the Serbian international, who leads the way as the top goalscorer in the German top-flight this term.
Jovic spoke of the speculation linking him with a summer move away from parent club Benfica but was dismissive, and insisted that his focus remains only on helping Frankfurt.
However, if Bild is to be believed, Chelsea have already made their move and have identified the 21-year-old as their top target to replace Olivier Giroud in the summer.
The Frenchman is set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with his contract running down.
