Wilson reveals Mount’s goal is to play for Chelsea
Liverpool winger Harry Wilson has revealed that Mason Mount’s goal is to play for Chelsea’s first team.
The pair are both on loan to Championship side Derby County, with Wilson on loan from Liverpool and Mount on loan from Chelsea.
Mount spent last season on loan to Vitesse in Holland, where he impressed and earned himself a move to Derby with Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as manager.
Derby currently sit 7th in the Championship, just outside the play-offs, with Mount a key member of their squad.
The attacking midfielder has six goals and three assists in all competitions for Derby, and was called up to the England senior team earlier in the season.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, Wilson said this:
The main focus this season is to get promoted with Derby. But Mason’s goal is to play for Chelsea and my goal is to play for Liverpool. I have always felt like a Liverpool player. Everything is going along the right path.
Mount, 20, is yet to make his senior debut for Chelsea, but is aiming to become one of the few to break through the infamous academy and make it into the first-team.
