River Plate keen for Chelsea target Quintero to sign permanently
Chelsea and Real Madrid are reportedly keen on Juan Quintero, according to Goal, but River Plate are determined to sign him on a permanent deal.
The Colombian international has turned in some impressive displays in Argentina, which appears to have prompted interest from clubs in Europe’s top leagues.
Quintero is only on loan at River Plate at the moment having joined them on a temporary deal from Liga NOS side FC Porto.
The 26-year-old is understood to be high in demand after shining in Argentina and, according to AS, his loan club are currently doing all that they can to secure his services permanently.
River Plate have the option to complete the signing of Quintero and are reportedly preparing to offer him a contract that will run until 2021.
This move would, however, see the playmaker become available for €22 million with the inclusion of a release clause, should he put pen to paper on a contract with the club.
