Jorginho is hoping that he can do enough to win over the section of Chelsea fans who have been far from impressed with his impact so far.
The Italian has split opinions among supporters since arriving from Napoli over the summer.
Speaking to Italian reporters after the Carabao Cup defeat, Jorginho vowed to improve during this difficult period for the club.
Jorginho’s performances have improved in recent weeks, with Sarri becoming more and more willing to adapt his tactics. Unfortunately for the summer arrival though, he has been the subject of boos from Chelsea supporters.
The important thing is to know how to deal with the situation. I remained calm because I know what fans are like… they have the right to complain. I’ll keep working and I’m sure I’ll be able to change their minds.
Upon joining Chelsea, he was hailed as the key to Maurizio Sarri’s game plan, the midfield cog that would make ‘Sarri-ball’ tick.
However, for large spells of the season, the Italian has in fact hindered the Blues, with many opposition teams man-marking him out of the game, derailing Chelsea’s tactics.
