Hazard desperate for Real switch following Zidane’s return

Eden Hazard is determined to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid following Zinedine Zidane’s return to the club, according to a report from The Guardian

The Belgian international has been perennially linked with a move to the Bernabeu Stadium, and as his contractual situation at Stamford Bridge continues to grow uncertain, a summer switch is seemingly a possibility.

Real have endured a difficult season, and Zidane has become their third manager this term after resigning from his duties in the summer.

The Frenchman led Los Blancos to three successive Champions League trophies during his first stint in charge and has been called on again following the failures of Julen Lopetegui and, most recently, Santiago Solari.

Hazard’s contract at Chelsea comes to an end in the summer of 2020, and The Guardian reports that he has not given any indication that he would be willing to extend his stay.

The winger is stated to be an admirer of Zidane and with the 46-year-old now back in the hot seat at Real, a summer move is of interest to the Blues talisman.
