Sporting hope to give Chelsea target Fernandes a new deal

Portuguese side Sporting are hoping to tie Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes down to a new deal.

According to a report from O Jogo, the club are looking to extend the midfielder’s stay at the club amid interest from some of Europe’s elite.

Frederico Varandas, the club’s president is eager to get a new deal wrapped up for Fernandes.

However, it is claimed that Fernandes himself is only open to discussions about his future at the end of the season.

Chelsea, United and Liverpool have all been linked with moves for the midfield maestro, but he is unlikely to arrive on the cheap.

Fernandes is enjoying a brilliant season in the Primera Liga and it is easy to see why clubs are queuing up for his signature.

With 13 goals and nine assists to his name in the league, the 24-year-old is showing himself to be among the best midfielders in Europe at the moment on current form.
