Chelsea eyeing up move for Maxi Gomez

Chelsea are interested in signing Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez this summer, according to the Daily Star.

The Uruguayan is rated at £50million, although relegation for his club this season will make him available for just £25million.

Celta currently sit 18th in La Liga with 11 matches remaining, one point behind Villarreal and Valladolid.

Chelsea are looking to add firepower to their squad this summer, with several attacking figures potentially moving on.

Eden Hazard is looking increasingly likely to join Real Madrid at the end of the campaign, while there are also doubts surrounding Willian, Pedro, Olivier Giroud and Gonzalo Higuain, with the latter on loan currently.

Gomez a talented player with huge potential and a number of clubs have been linked with signing him.

Luis Suarez advised former club Liverpool to make a move for him, while West Ham also expressed an interest in the past.
