Baldini pushing Roma to bring Sarri back to Italy

Former Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini is pushing Roma to bring Maurizio Sarri back to Italy.

According to Italian outlet Il Messaggero, via Sport Witness, Baldini has been speaking to Roma’s owner in a non-official capacity and is urging him to complete a deal to sign Sarri from Chelsea.

Sarri is currently manager of Chelsea, but has come under fire throughout the season for the club’s performances on the pitch.

Chelsea lost 2-0 to Everton on Sunday, a result which leaves them sixth in the Premier League table.

The club are also out of the League Cup, losing in the final, and FA Cup. Although, they remain in the Europa League.

The report claims that Sarri could be sacked by Chelsea if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, which would be the second season in succession.

Chelsea can qualify for the Champions League by either finishing in the top four or winning the Europa League.
