Sarri could be sacked during international break

Maurizio Sarri could be sacked as Chelsea manager during the current international break, according to the Express.

The Blues suffered yet another disappointing result on Sunday, losing 2-0 at Everton.

It was a damaging moment in their quest for a top-four finish, with the performance at Goodison Park too often lifeless.

Supporters vented their anger after the final whistle, and the pressure they are putting on the club to dismiss Sarri could lead to his demise.

The report states that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich “might now use the international break as space to sack Sarri and bring in a new manager.”

Despite steadying the ship a little after the League Cup final loss to Manchester City, the Blues have gone backwards again.

They have picked up just one point in their last two Premier League games, and while Europa League quarter-final qualification has been secured, it may not be enough to keep Sarri in the job.
