Chelsea granted hearing after appealing FIFA’s transfer ban
Chelsea Football Club have lodged an appeal to FIFA after they decided to uphold the club’s transfer ban, as per Martyn Ziegler of The Times.
A Hearing to take place on April 11th where the club will hope to have the ban overturned.
Chelsea were hit with a transfer ban for the next two transfer windows by FIFA after the governing body found that the London club has broken rules in the cases of signing 29 different players who were all under 18-years-old
As it stands, The Blues are currently allowed to sell players but not sign anyone for the next two windows.
Chelsea “categorically” refuted the charge and as such, they subsequently appealed the decision and they’ll now be given the chance to state their case at a hearing that will take place in April.
The Blues will be hoping that FIFA withdraw the transfer ban, thus giving Maurizio Sarri the chance to add to his squad in the summer.
