Chelsea target Hysaj close to signing new deal
Reported Chelsea target Elseid Hysaj is in talks to sign a new deal at Napoli, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The right-back was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, but a move never materialised.
There has still been speculation suggesting he could join in the summer, however.
The Blues have suffered a potential blow in their quest to sign the Albanian, though, with the news that Napoli are keen to nail him down to a new contract.
Hysaj and his agent are set to meet with the club to discuss the new deal this week, with his current contract expiring in two years.
The 25-year-old is widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading right-backs, having shone for Napoli since joining from Empoli in 2015.
He has made 158 appearances for the Serie A giants, as well as winning 42 caps for Albania to date.
