Chelsea hold talks over £2.6m deal for Luis Campos

Chelsea have held talks over a £2.6 million deal to bring Luis Campos to the club from Lille.

According to a report from Goal, both Roma and Chelsea are eager to bring in the well-respected sporting director, but it will come at a cost.

Chelsea’s search for a new technical director has been ongoing for some time now, with Michael Emenalo leaving the club nearly two years ago.

The Blues remain keen to bring in a new technical director, despite the increased role that Marina Granovskaia has played in the running of the club.

Campos is highly rated in France and is widely recognised for playing a key role in the brilliant season Lille are enjoying, with the club sitting second in Ligue 1.

He also enjoyed time at Monaco, who were lauded for their transfer business during his time at the club.

Juliano Belletti and Michael Ballack are among the former Chelsea players to be linked with the role, but as of yet, the club are yet to make an appointment.
