Eden Hazard edging closer to Real Madrid move

Chelsea star Eden Hazard is reportedly edging closer to a move to Real Madrid, according to Marca, cited by the Mirror.

The 28-year-old has been a long-term target for the Spanish giants following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in the summer.

And according to Marca’s report, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Hazard are close to finalising a deal, and the Belgian may well travel to Madrid next week to seal a proposed summer deal.

Zinedine Zidane, who recently returned to the Bernabeu dugout, has made Hazard his top target, and a proposed move could see the Belgian sign a six-year-deal in Madrid.

Hazard, who has been the Blues’ standout performer during the current campaign, has previously talked up a move to Spain, however, Los Blancos were originally put off by Chelsea’s huge asking price in the summer.

Chelsea may still be hoping they can tie the playmaker down to a new Blues deal, however, with Real Madrid planning on a major summer shake-up, Hazard’s days at Stamford Bridge look to be numbered.
