Callum Hudson-Odoi has no intention of rushing to sign a new deal at Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.
The 18-year-old suffered a season-ending injury in the 2-2 draw at home to Burnley on Monday night, after rupturing his Achilles in the first half.
It is likely to keep him out of action for around six months, but that won’t make him jump at the chance to extend his Stamford Bridge stay, should others lose interest.
Hudson-Odoi was strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich back in January, and has rejected a new deal at Chelsea up until this point.
The Blues are thought to be willing to offer him £100,000 a week, and they are “increasingly confident” about retaining his services.
The injury is a cruel blow for Hudson-Odoi, who had finally broken into the Chelsea team regularly and was playing well.
Whether or not someone will make a bid for him despite his lengthy absence remains to be seen, but it is clear that he won’t be bowing down to his current club.
Hudson-Odoi's club after the summer odds (if he leaves Chelsea)
Bayern Munich - 3/1
Bayern are still the favourites to sign Hudson-Odoi, although it does arguably feel less likely than before.
Borussia Dortmund - 12/1
Jadon Sancho is already excelling at Dortmund – could Hudson-Odoi be the latest young English star to move there?
Any Italian club - 12/1
A move to Italy seemingly isn’t out of the question, although they are not as renowned for blooding young English talent as some foreign sides.
Any French club - 12/1
Paris Saint-Germain could face losing Kylian Mbappe or Neymar this summer, so Hudson-Odoi is a potential, albeit unlikely, option.
Any Spanish club - 12/1
The Chelsea youngster also isn’t being ruled out of heading to La Liga, but again, it feels unlikely.
