Kenedy asking price too much for Newcastle
On-loan Brazilian winger Kenedy is unlikely to make a permanent move to Newcastle United after a staggering £30m price tag has been placed on the player, according to the Chronicle.
The 23-year-old has failed to make an impact at St James Park after a lot of hype surrounded the player when he re-joined the club in 2018 after previously impressing on loan.
But after 23 appearances for Newcastle, Kenedy has only managed to score one goal this season.
In the 2018/19 season, a number of injuries have placed the young winger out of the squad, therefore tampering with his overall form; however, even in the games Kenedy has appeared in, he has failed to make an impact.
This brings the question of whether boss Rafa Benitez and the Newcastle board are willing to cough up the £30m price tag that Chelsea have labelled the left midfielder with.
Despite the Toon failing to challenge for an impressive league finish this season, Benitez will be looking to spend the money elsewhere to try and improve the squad for next season, unless the asking price for Kenedy is reduced.
Though the player is young, the Brazilian may be looking at a move elsewhere in an effort to further his career.
