Manchester United have been handed a boost with the news that Ander Herrera will be available for Sunday’s game at Old Trafford.
Nizaar Kinsella reports that the Spaniard has been given the green light to return to action after struggling with injuries lately.
Herrera has seen his future at Old Trafford dominate the headlines in recent weeks, with a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season being heavily mooted.
Chelsea fans and Eden Hazard, in particular, will still have bad memories about Herrera’s recent performances against the Blues.
During Jose Mourinho’s time in Manchester, the Spaniard was often given a one-man task of stopping the Belgian, even if that meant following him around the pitch for the entire 90 minutes.
Hazard and Chelsea did get their revenge when Herrera was sent off during an FA Cup game at the Bridge back in 2017 and the Blues will be hoping for more of the same this weekend.
How the race for the top four looks going into the weekend
3rd: Tottenham - 70 points
Spurs looked to have eased any fears about a place in the Champions League and it is now a battle between who will take the final spot.
4th: Chelsea - 67 points
Chelsea currently take up the fourth and final Champions League spot. A win at Old Trafford would be huge for the Blues.
5th: Arsenal - 66 points
Arsenal have made it hard for themselves in recent weeks and a draw at Old Trafford between United and Chelsea would surely be the ideal result for them.
6th: United - 64 points
It really is a must-win for United on Sunday if they want to get themselves back into the top four. Chelsea could go six points clear of United with a win.
