Chelsea Football Club have unveiled their new home kit ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The impressive strip is sponsored by Nike and is inspired by Stamford Bridge itself.
A statement on the club’s official website states that “the Blues have called the Bridge home since 1905, and just as it is woven into our history, it is woven into the fabric of our brand new kit.”
Famous images taken from Stamford Bridge are shown on the shirt, in what was a hugely original idea.
It comes in a V-neck style and has a ‘CFC’ monogram on the back of the collar.
On the inside of the shirt is a lion “borrowed from the club crest”, with ‘PRIDE OF LONDON’ written around it.
Chelsea will don the new strip when they host Watford on Sunday afternoon, giving supporters another taster.
While that game is clearly important in its own right, primary focus is on Thursday’s Europa League semi-final first leg clash away to Eintracht Frankfurt.
